Azule the Champagne D'Argent
Well for the safety of my rabbits I had to make a very difficult choice. Azule will always be memorized and even though he became sick he will always be my baby boy. Azule was an unfortunate baby. He caught his leg in the bottom wire of his cage and broke his leg and foot. When i went out to my aunt's house to look at some Holland Lops to get after my mini rex mix had passed away, I saw Azule's dad. He was one of the neatest looking rabbits i had ever seen and i wanted that breed. When she showed me the kits and mentioned that one was going to be sold for meat because of a broken leg, I really got interested. When she got Azule out and let me hold him, I fell in love. My dad was trying to convince me to get a Holland Lop because he wanted a small rabbit in his house not one that could reach 10 pounds. I had no interest in anything other than him. She gave me Azule that day and I was so happy!!! My dad wasn't the happiest, especially when Azule climbed the stairs and ate cat food. But my dad did warm up to him when he spent more time watching TV with him. Azule even learned to escape his cage, hop around to the front of the couch, and sit and look at dad until he was finally picked up and was allowed to climb all over dad and eventually settle down to watch TV on dad's lap. His best friends were a Holland Lop named Squishy that shared a cage with him, a Cane Corso Mastiff named Lola, and 2 cats, one of which is a 15 pound tom cat named Fudge and the other is a dainty tabby named Abby. He loved baths and would fall asleep in the tub. It was too cute! He was gentle around babies and even rode in a stroller! He was my dog, my bunny, but mostly he was my family. He was the reason i started my rabbitry and even though he will be gone, I will continue with my rabbits, and work even harder on my champagnes. RIP Azule! Mommy loves you!!
